About Us

Mental Health Hangout started out as a simple idea: what if people who experience and live with mental health issues had a community that they could turn to when they wanted to meet other people just like them? Mental Health Hangout lets real people just like you connect and network with others who are open to talk about mental health through group activities, hangouts, and workshops!

Break the Stigma Around Mental Health

When it comes to mental health, such as depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder, there has always been a stigma that prevents people from talking about it freely. But how can we get better if we can’t even openly discuss our mental health and the issues that it may cause in our lives?

That’s why we started Mental Health Hangouts. By creating safe-spaces and environments where members can network with others who share the same (of different) experiences surrounding their mental health, we believe that we can overcome the stigma.

Join us for a mental health hangout near you where you can join a running group, attend networking events, mental health workshops, and so much more.
